Shovels & Rope Concert

Indie folk duo Shovels & Rope perform with special guest Caroline Rose at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

Please Note: This event is from 2015

Award-winning folk duo Shovels & Rope, with special guest Caroline Rose, will be performing at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. The concert is presented in partnership with Flying Saucer Presents.

Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent were successful solo artists before they connected in Charleston, South Carolina, to form Shovels & Rope. Their voices harmonize naturally and their philosophies match as well, making for  a beautiful partnership and an innovative sound and style.

With their strong country, bluegrass, blues and folk influences, Shovels & Rope perform with an energy and passion that is hard to match in today's music.

Singer-songwriter Caroline Rose has broken through with her new album, I Will Not Be Afraid. Her music, rooted in rockabilly and vintage country and blues, has evolved into an expression of her own personal vision, which she describes as "postcards I've picked up from along the road." Rose tours and lives in her van, traveling America's back road to inspire her creativity.
