On Sunday, July 23, 2017, the Garden Club of St. Augustine will host The Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants Flower Demo, where attendees will create floral arrangements and "tablescapes" reminiscent of English country manor houses like Downton Abbey. The event will take place in the East Room of the Lightner Museum.

Garden Club members Marilyn Smith and Cathy Snyder will lead the interactive workshop and show how the decorative aesthetic in the late 19th and early 20th centuries fostered new and creative ways of decorating with flowers, fruits, and vegetables.

Following the workshop, light refreshments will be served by the Garden Club of St. Augustine. Workshop attendees receive complimentary admission to the Lightner Museum all day on Sunday.

The Garden Club of St. Augustine is a nonprofit organization established in 1926 to promote horticulture, floral design, beautification, and conservation. This workshop is one of many events hosted by the Garden Club of St. Augustine.

Admission: $35 per person. Visit here to purchase tickets.

When: Sunday, July 23, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m.
