The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, in partnership with Flying Saucer Presents, welcomes the return of renowned blues innovator Taj Mahal with his Quartet to Ponte Vedra Beach on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. They will perform with special guests Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley.

Over his 50-year career, Taj Mahal has reshaped the definition and scope of the blues. The two-time Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, film composer, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist has infused his music with Caribbean, African, and South Pacific influences. Taj Mahal has performed with such legends as Ry Cooder, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and Wynton Marsalis. He was nominated for Entertainer of the Year by the Blues Foundation and recently won the Lifetime Achievement for Performance Award at the 13th Annual Americana Honors and Awards.

After playing with bandmates Bill Rich and Kester Smith for more than 40 years, Taj Mahal added a new member to the group — guitarist and lap steel virtuoso Bobby Ingano. The new Taj Mahal Quartet plays the blues as part of a circle, encouraging the audience to participate and dance along.
