Tales from the Ancient City CD Release Concert
(904) 825-1164 The Limelight Theatre presents a concert of local musicians to mark the release of the CD, "Tales from the Ancient City." The CD was produced as part of St. Augustine's 450th Commemoration and features original songs based on local stories, myths, and legends.
Fifteen musicians were involved in the project, including Amy Hendrickson, Randy Brantley, Eric Hood, Katherine Archer, Joe Rocco, Crawford Boyd, Joe Schauer, Wendy Kissinger, John Dickie, Mark Briggs, TJ Ward, Fre Gordon, Fond Kiser, Jon Bailey, and Phil Hair. The songs they wrote and recorded for the CD are a fascinating representation of the unique history of the nation's oldest city.
Proceeds from CD sales will go to Home Again St Johns, a nonprofit organization that serves the needs of the homeless in the St. Augustine area.
Admission: $5 per person is requested, which will go directly to the musicians. Beer, wine, soda and snacks are available for additional donations in the Limelight Theatre's lobby.
When? Wednesday, November 18, 2015, 6 - 9 p.m.
Where? The Limelight Theatre is located just north of the historic district at 11 Old Mission Ave. in St. Augustine.
