Channel Tres will open for Grammy-award winner funk, R&B, acid jazz and soul artist Thundercat when he performs at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021.

Bassist/singer Stephen Bruner, AKA Thundercat, is out on the road promoting his "It is What it Is," album. His 2020 tour was cut short by the Covid-19 pandemic, however, the album won Best Progressive R& B Album at the 2020 Grammys.

Born into a musical family in 1984, Bruner came to prominence as a member of the Los Angeles punk band Suicidal Tendencies. He released his first solo album in 2011, "The Golden Age of Apocalypse," which was influenced by 1970s fusion artists such as Stanley Clarke and George Duke.

Sheldon Young, known professionally as Channel Tres, is a rapper, singer and record producer from Compton, California. Young is best known for his singles, "Controller" and "Topdown."

Admission: $35 in advance; $40 day of show

Parking Information: Parking will be available onsite. There will be a $5 parking fee for ticketed events and for free events parking will also be free. For events not produced by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, parking fees will be at the discretion of the event producer.
