    The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents "Certified Guitar Player" Tommy Emmanuel live in concert on Thursday, February 27, 2020. He will be joined by guest Ida Mae.

    Tommy Emmanuel is an Australian-born artist with a professional career that spans five decades, during which he has gained hundreds of thousands of loyal fans worldwide. Emmanuel calls his unique style of playing the guitar "finger style," as he uses all ten fingers to coax a many-layered sound from the instrument that makes it sound like a whole band. After playing at the Sydney Olympic Games Closing Ceremony in 2001, Emmanuel came to national attention.

    Tommy was one of five people ever named a Certified Guitar Player, an honor conferred on him by his idol Chet Atkins when Tommy was 44 years old.  In all, Tommy’s catalog includes over 20 musical recordings of solos, duets, ensembles, cover tunes, originals, utilizing both electric and acoustic guitar. He has made several live performance DVDs, instructional DVDs and CD-ROMs, and he regularly teaches master classes while on the road.

    Admission: Reserved seating tickets are $59.50 for Rows A through P and $44.50 for all remaining rows.

    When: Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

    Where: The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is located at 1050 A1A North in Ponte Vedra Beach.

    Parking Information: Parking will be available onsite. There will be a $5 parking fee for ticketed events and for free events parking will also be free. For events not produced by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, parking fees will be at the discretion of the event producer.
