The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents award-winning bass player Victor Wooten in concert with drummer Dennis Chambers and saxophonist Bob Franceschini on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 8:00 p.m.

Victor Wooten was born into a family of performers who opened shows for legendary soul artists like Curtis Mayfield. He was two when he began to play music, five when he joined The Wooten Brothers as the bassist, and just six years old when he began to tour with the family band.

A five-time Grammy winner and a founding member of the band Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Wooten has also won Bass Player Magazine's reader's poll three times and was voted one of the top ten bass players of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine.

American drummer Dennis Chambers was also a child phenom, who began drumming at four years of age and was gigging in Baltimore-area nightclubs by the age of six. In 1978, at the age of eighteen, he joined Parliament/Funkadelic, and was recruited in 1981 as the "house drummer" for the Sugar Hill Label. He joined the John Scofield band in 1986. Over his career, Chambers has performed with most of the major artists in the jazz fusion movement.

Saxophonist, songwriter, and arranger Bob Franceschini has appeared on more than 200 albums for artists of many different genres and styles, including Mike Stern, Paul Simon, Willie Colon, Celine Dion, Bebe Winans, Tito Puente, Tower of Power, Victor Wooten, and Tom Browne.
