The Colonial Oak Music Park will host Vivace, an ensemble of Suzuki-trained young musicians, on Friday, February 14, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. This free concert will feature a variety of fun and energetic music that the whole family can enjoy.

Vivace, formed each year since 2009, consists of the best students from the senior classes of the Suzuki schools in Connecticut's Westport and Orange counties. These Suzuki-trained string musicians are encouraged to explore music beyond the traditional classic repertoire, creating arrangements specifically for their ensemble, and they share their talents with audiences in the U.S. and Europe.

The students choose music from various genres, such as folk, pop, and rock. They write many of their own arrangements, and even do their own choreography.

Vivace travels every year to a number of locations in the U.S. or Europe, where they perform their lively numbers. The current program includes a song from "Slum Dog Millionaire" and hits by Coldplay and AC/DC, as well as Stevie Wonder's iconic "Isn't She Lovely?"

Admission: Free

When: At 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020.
