The Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas are beloved National Parks in St. Augustine, and it takes the efforts of volunteers to keep the parks operating smoothly. On Monday, June 20, 2016, some of these VIPs (or Volunteers-In-Parks) will be available in front of the Castillo to share their enthusiasm for their volunteer work and answer questions for those interested in volunteering at the Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas.
Volunteer opportunities with the National Parks Service in St. Augustine include offering visitor services, demonstrating the functions of historic weapons, assisting with administrative services, deck handing on a ferry boat, presenting interpretive programs, and more.
