The Krewe of the Black Heart presents the Winter White Ball, a gala event to benefit St. Augustine Youth Services, on February 11, 2017, at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. The ball takes the place of the traditional Noche de Gala, which celebrated the March 15th birthday of St. Augustine founder Pedro Menendez.

This traditional finale to St. Augustine's Nights of Lights is a chance for the nation's oldest city to celebrate all the years of its rich history, as guests dress in their finest period costume or cocktail attire. There are two days of activities surrounding the gala.

St. Augustine's Royal family will hold court at the gala, dressed in cream and white, as all guests are encouraged to follow. There will be a brief initial ceremony, after which the Royal Family will call for the party to begin.

The full slate of activities includes a Meet 'n Greet at O.C. White's on Friday, February 10, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., a Scavenger Hunt down St. George Street on Saturday, and a Jollification Happy Hour from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, preceding the opening of the ball at 6:30 p.m.

The ball includes a buffet dinner and live music by Cottonmouth. A cash bar will be available.

Admission: Tickets for the ball are $90 per person, or $900 for a table of ten. Tickets can be purchased here. There is no cost to attend the Meet 'n Greet on Friday night, and no special dress is required, though pirate attire is always encouraged.

When: The Winter White Ball takes place on Saturday, February 11, with a happy hour from 5 to 6:30 p.m. preceding the opening of the ball at 6:30 p.m. On the Friday evening preceding the  ball (February 10), there will be a Meet 'n Greet at O.C. White's in downtown St. Augustine.

Where: The Fountain of Youth is located at 11 Magnolia Avenue, and O.C. White's is located at 118 Avenida Menendez, both in historic St. Augustine FL 32084.

This ball is presented by the Krewe of the Black Heart, City Gate Productions and OC Whites. All proceeds will benefit St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), a therapeutic residential group home for boys, ages 6-17, who have been victims of severe abuse and/or neglect. SAYS also coordinates the countywide Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) to address the alarming increase of St. Johns County children, ages 4-17, who are involuntarily hospitalized.
