The artwork of Peter Blunt and Susanna Richter will be featured within the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach's Main Gallery from August 22 to September 19, 2014.
Susanna Richter-Hellmen's work focuses on the growth of a child from a parent's eye. Words that come to mind when dealing with this subject include worry, fear, anxiety, and loss which are all explored throughout her creative art. Pastel drawings and oil paintings describe the life and moments of a child within the course of 18 years. The parent-child relationship is highlighted allowing visitors to see both the difficulties and victories that come with parenting.
Peter Blunt uses furniture pieces to present sculptural visions. Each piece has a different statement and meaning that is interpreted through the furniture form.
There will be an opening reception on August 22, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. featuring musician Jennifer Chase and appetizers by Ruth's Chris. All visitors are welcome to attend.
