The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, in partnership with Flying Saucer Presents, welcomes bluegrass icons Yonder Mountain String Band and The Travelin' McCourys as they co-headline a live concert on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

Yonder Mountain String Band formed in Colorado in 1998, and released its first album together in 1999. Since then, the group has pushed and broken the boundaries of bluegrass and acoustic music, even delving into rock n' roll with its trademark progressive and virtuosic improvisation. The band's recent albums include Black Sheep, the first of their releases to be produced by the band themselves. It's also the first YMSB release to feature a traditional five-piece instrumental bluegrass lineup. Guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, and bass were the arsenal of bluegrass instruments originally introduced in the 1940s, and are used as a foundation of tradition that propels their music into the future.

Their newest album Love. Ain't Love, is undeniably the Colorado-based progressive bluegrass outfit's most surprising, creative, and energetic studio excursion to date. Songs like "Chasing My Tail" and "Alison" are rooted in tradition but as current as tomorrow, animated by electrifying performance, vivid production, and the modernist power that has made Yonder one of the most popular live bands of their generation.

The Travelin' McCourys

The Travelin' McCourys bluegrass ensemble includes Ronnie McCoury on mandolin, Rob McCoury on banjo, fiddler Jason Carter and bassist Alan Bartram. The Travelin' McCourys have been playing their country folk jams for the past 20 years. They recently played with the Allman Brothers at Wanee Fest and then brought the house down at Warren Haynes' Annual Christmas Jam, an invitation only Southern Rock homecoming. Their jam with the Lee Boys was hailed by many as the highlight of the evening, and once word of the live video hit the streets, sent new fans online to watch a supercharged combination of sacred steel, R&B, and bluegrass. They've also performed with Warren Haynes, Phish, and have a tour scheduled with the aforementioned Lee Boys.
