First United Methodist Church

A fixture on King Street since 1911.

First United Methodist Church was established by Reverend Daniel McDaniel in 1825. The church was in three locations before landing in Historic Downtown in 1911.

The ministry and organization have since grown to include Sunday school buildings, a parsonage, and a youth house. Local missionaries and ministry groups are welcomed with a place to stay while they visit the oldest city.
