5K for K9s for Warriors

A 5K and Fun Run to benefit K9s for Warriors will take place on Veterans Day (Tuesday, November 11, 2019) at Allen D. Nease High School Fields and Stadium. The fundraiser has been organized by a group of Nease students to give the community an opportunity to support the local non-profit while honoring the nation's veterans.

The event raises funds for K9s for Warriors, a not-for-profit organization that was founded in 2011 with the hopes of pairing 12 Warrior-Canine teams a year. Since then, the program has graduated over 290 Warrior-Canine teams. 90% of the dogs in the program come from rescue shelters or are surrendered by their owners.

Admission: The requested donation is $10.00 for participating in the Fun Run and $15.00 for the 5K. Visit here to register.

When: Packet pick-up and registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. The Fun Run starts at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K at 7:45 a.m. There will be an awards ceremony at 8:30 a.m.
