Ancient Dunes Trail Hike
Sunday, March 18, and Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Anastasia State Park
Anastasia State Park will host an Ancient Dunes Trail Hike on Sunday, March 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, April 14, 2018, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Led by a volunteer, this guided hike through the various ecosystems of Anastasia State Park, including the ancient dune system and the maritime hammocks, is just a mile long, but is one of the more demanding trails in the park due to the sloping lanscape.
Guests are encouraged to bring binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, drinking water, bug spray, and sunscreen. The tour will meet at the Hilltop Picnic Area near the parking lot.
Admission: Free with park admission: $8.00 per vehicle (limit 8 people), $4.00 per single-occupant vehicle, and $2.00 for pedestrians, bicyclists, and extra passengers.
When: From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, and from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018. These events are weather permitting and subject to cancellation.
