Apex Studio: A Christmas Story

Apex Theatre Studio presents "A Christmas Story" with three performances at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

Please Note: This event is from 2020

The Apex Theatre Studio presents three performances of the classic holiday play, A Christmas Story, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 18, 19, and 20, 2020. Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

This full-length comedy is based on the classic film (see photo above) about Ralphie Parker in the 1940s and his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun as a Christmas present. The play includes all the memorable moments of the film, including the exploding furnace, the boys' experiment with a wet tongue on a lamppost, the school bully, and, of course, the leg lamp.

This production is directed by Ian Mairs, managing director of Apex Theatre Studio. The cast will include a mix of students, faculty, and guest artists from the Northeast Florida area.

Apex Theatre is a non-profit theater education center where students ages 14-21 hone their crafts as artists. For more information about Apex Theatre, please visit here.
