Big Fish at the Limelight Theatre

Written by novelist Daniel Wallace and recreated for the big screen with a whimsical flare by director Tim Burton, Big Fish reaches another plateau as it comes to Limelight Theatre. Opening weekend begins on Friday, October 7, 2022 with shows running through October 30, 2022 from Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. 

Limelight's executive director, Sherrie Provence, alongside Jeff Dodd (Music Direction), Andrew Lippa (Music & Lyrics), and Missy Schmotzer Williamson (Choreography), transforms the story of salesman, Edward Bloom, a dying, elderly man with a big heart and vibrant imagination into a musical production.

Visited by his son, who wants to know who his father really is, Will Bloom confronts Edward over his "fabricated" version of events that took place in his life. In turn, Edward relives his adventures, one tall-tale at a time. The colorful sequence of occurrences cause Will more frustration until he comes to embrace the fact that his father's perspective is a unique gift where reality has been redefined and love was always the driving force hidden beneath the shadows.   
 

Admission: Box office hours are on Tuesday to Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., along with an option to make online purchases. Tickets are $28 for adults; $28 for seniors (62+), and $28 for military and students. One child under 12 free with purchase of one full-price ticket. Tickets are $18 on the first Thursday of each production (Preview Night) and $10 "student rush" tickets, available 30 minutes prior to curtain for students.
