(904) 209-0335The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with St. Johns County Audubon, will offer a free program about shorebird nesting just for kids on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event will be held at Nease Beachfront Park on Vilano Beach.
The workshop will introduce kids to the birds that frequent our shores and how they behave when nesting. how field biologists work to study the behavior of nesting shorebirds. Participants will learn more about these birds through activities that show them how field biologists work to study birds in the wild.
Participants are advised to dress for the weather and bring a flashlight, bug spray, and water.
