On Sunday, May 22, 2016, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre will host a special Backyard Stage event featuring Chuck Ragan anad Tim Barry in concert. The event will kick off with an all-you-can-eat oyster roast.

With a career spanning three decades, Chuck Ragan has made a name for himself with his honest, impactful music whether he was playing with a group or performing solo. He played with various groups in the late '80s and early '90s, including the post-hardcore group, Hot Water Music. That band toured extensively and also released acclaimed studio albums that include Fuel for the Hate Game, No Division, A Flight and a Crash, and Caution, as well as live recordings such as Live at the Hardcore and Live in Chicago.

When Hot Water Music disbanded In 2005, Ragan embarked on a new career as a solo troubador, with a new emphasis on the acoustic approach. He has toured with a diverse assortment of punk, bluegrass, and alt-country performers, and has continued to release highly acclaimed albums. His most recent album is Till Midnight.

Opening for Chuck Ragan at this Backyard Stage event at the St. Augustine Amphitheater will be Tim Barry, a singer-songwriter whose style has been called "old-timey in a modern way." His most recent album, Lost and Rootless, marked the tenth anniversary of his solo career. 

This Backyard Stage event at the Amphitheatre will feature an All You Can Eat Oyster Roast from 5 to 7 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m.

Admission: $35 for All You Can Eat Oysters and Concert Ticket. Concert tickets only: $18 for Advance General Admission and $20 for Day of Show General Admission.

Where? The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located at 1340 A1A South St. Augustine, FL 32080.

Parking Information: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located on Anastasia Island next to Anastasia State Park and Recreation Area. There is very limited on-site parking so visitors must utilize accessible satellite parking facilities. Each satellite parking area is located within one mile of the Amphitheatre. Satellite parking lots are located behind RB Hunt Elementary at RB Hunt Elementary and the Elks Lodge. Shuttle Information: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Shuttle system begins its run one and a half hour prior to show time. The shuttle will pick up event patrons at two designated shuttle stops and the soccer field behind RB Hunt Elementary School. Shuttles will run continuously until approximately one hour after the scheduled start time of a concert.
