A Classic Theatre: Couples

A Classic Theatre presents Couples - It All Started with Adam and Eve on Fridays through Sundays from May 3 through May 12, 2024. The shows on Fridays and Saturdays start at 7:30 p.m.; on Sundays, the show begins at 2:00 p.m.

The first act of this production, directed by Cliff Parrish, is the first act of The Apple Tree by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. Described as "three musical playlettes," the first act was based on The Diaries of Adam and Eve by Mark Twain. In the second part of this program, musical actors will perform some of Broadway's most enjoyed duets about love and marriage.

Admission: Tickets are $25.00 for general admission. Tickets will be available on their website. 

When:  7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, May 3, May 10, and 11, and at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. Sunday matinees are at 2:00 p.m. on May 5 and 12, 2024

Where: The St. Augustine Waterworks is located at 184 San Marco Avenue in uptown St. Augustine, Florida 32084. See below for directions by vehicle.

Getting There: While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only, so it is not available to access the Waterworks. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot, on the opposite side of the complex. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon in your GPS.)  

This event is part of the Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts, an annual festival of two weeks of historical, cultural, and creative events celebrating all things St. Augustine. From May 3 -19,  the nation's oldest city will be jam-packed with music and dance concerts, living history events and historical tours, live theater, and art exhibits.
