The Lifespan of a Fact, directed by ACT Artistic Director, Francesca Bellavista, is a performance based off of the critically acclaimed 2018 Broadway play. Centered around the world of publishing at a high-end print magazine, editor-in-chief, Emily Penrose, assigns an ambitious new hire, fact-checker, Jim Fingal, to work on an essay written by famous author John D'Agata. With an eager determination to succeed at his new "gig" and a tight deadline in mind, Jim's fact-checking gets carried away as the two go head-to-head in this comedic portrayal where personal biases, facts, fantasy, and fiction collide.
