A Classic Theatre presents the international hit play by Richard Alfiere, Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, with three performances at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center in St. Augustine on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 5, 6, and 7, 2019. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday show is at 2:00 p.m.

The play follows the changing relationship between Lily Harrison, a retired woman with a mind of her own, and the private dance instructor she hires, Michael Minetti. Over six dance lessons in six weeks, the two go from antagonism to true friendship, as they dance through the waltz, swing, fox trot and tango.

The production will be directed by Harolyn Sharpe and will feature Anne Kraft as Lily Harrison and Shawn M. White as the dance instructor Michael Minetti. Harolyn Sharpe is a director, actor, and speech coach, who has worked extensively with Theatre Jacksonville and Florida State College in Jacksonville. She recently directed A Classic Theatre's production of Lysistrata and Fox Fire at the Limelight Theatre in St. Augustine.

Anne Kraft is well known in the northeast Florida area, and was recently voted "St. Augustine's Best Actress" in a Folio Weekly poll. Originally trained in New York, her recent stage roles in Florida include Joan Didion's one-woman play, The Year of Magical Thinking, as well as Love, Loss, and What I Wore for A Classic Theatre and The Owl and the Pussycat for First Coast Opera.

Shawn M. White is a professional dance instructor who owns World Ballroom in St. Augustine. This is his first foray into the world of theater.

This production will raise funds to benefit A Classic Theatre.
