On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, the Lightner Museum will host a soirée fit for the Edwardian aristocracy in celebration of the opening of their new exhibit, Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times

This special opening reception will offer guests a first look at the 36 Edwardian costumes from the beloved PBS series Downton Abbey featured in this exhibit, which officially opens to the public on October 4, 2017. Hors d'oeuvres and 20th century inspired cocktails will be served. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best Edwardian and turn-of-the-century fashions for the occasion.

Michael Aranella and The Dreamland Orchestra will provide musical entertainment. Past performances by The Dreamland Orchestra include the Cannes Film Festival and The Manhattan Cocktail Classic. This talented band is one not to miss.

Jessica Fellowes, niece of Downton Abbey series creater Julian Fellowes, will also be in attendance. Jessica Fellowes has written several books to accompany the Downton Abbey series, including two that made New York Times Bestseller Lists: The Wit and Wisdom of Downton Abbey and Downton Abbey: A Celebration.
