    The EMMA Concert Association presents the Russian State Symphony Orchestra in a live concert on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 7:30 p.m.

    Founded in 1957 within the All-Union Broadcasting System, the Russian State Symphony Orchestra is renowned for its flexibility of phrasing and strict discipline in performances. The orchestra also maintains a close creative unity between the orchestra and conductor. Past music directors of the orchestra include such well-known conductors as Shostakovich, Rozhdestvensky, and Aranovich. Currently, Maestro Polyansky serves as the artistic director and chief conductor.
