The Rype & Readi Farm Market hosts a Farm-to-Fork Feast featuring a team cooking contest and exhibition on Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 7 to 10 p.m.

The Farm Feast is a family-friendly celebration, with live music, farm animals, great local food, including the chefs' creations for the Galley Wars competition, cooking demonstrations, and plenty of beer and wine.

The Galley Wars competition pits culinary specialists against each other as they create dishes using only surprise ingredients in a rustic kitchen environment. Participating in the competition are teams from the Culinary Arts program at the First Coast Technical College in St. Augustine, the Virginia College Culinary Arts program in Jacksonville, and the Culinary Arts Program of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.

The Farm Feast menu will feature a wide variety of local specialties: arroz con frijoles with datil pepper, pastured chicken with white chili and pinto beans, Not Your Grandma's Elkton Cole Slaw, herb focaccia, and much more.

Admission: Tickets (which include all food and drink and other activities) are $75 per person. Discounts are available with online purchase: $60 per person before October 10; $65 per person after October 10. Students from institutions participating in the competition may purchase tickets for $25.
