First Coast Opera presents a performance of La Vie Parisienne, a comic operetta by French composer Jacques Offenbach,  The operetta will be shown at the Lewis Auditorium on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 7:30 p.m., as part of First Coast Opera's 16th season, which focuses on the city of Paris.

One of the most popular of his operettas, La Vie Parisienne was written in 1866 and is Offenbach's first full-length piece that seeks to portray contemporary Parisian life. First Coast Opera Artistic Director Curtis Tucker will conduct a 15-piece orchestra. The cast features local and regional artists, including Regina Torres, Kirsten Yates, Matheus Coura, Haley Cox, and Sean Stork.
