The Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy presents journalist Hedrick Smith on April 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The discussion takes place in the Virginia Room at the Flagler Student Center at 50 Sevilla Street, and is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

A correspondent with the New York Times for 26 years, Smith won a Pulitzer Prize for international reporting in 1997, and shared a Pulitzer for a series about the Pentagon Papers. Smith has written several books and was also a long-time producer. He is a producer of prime-time specials and FRONTLINE episodes and won Emmy Awards for two FRONTLINE programs. His expertise covers both the United States and Russia.

Flagler College's Forum on Government and Public Policy brings nationally recognized journalists, commentators, and speakers to St. Augustine to discuss issues in regional, state, and federal government. For more than 30 years, the forum has hosted intellectual talks focused on government and public policy.
