Fort Mose Kayak Trip

This intermediate-level kayak trip explores the Tolomato River and Robinson Creek, ending up at Fort Mose.

The St. Johns County Parks & Recreation along with the State Park Service offers a free guided kayak tour to Fort Mose on Friday, December 9 and Sunday, December 11, 2022. The tour begins at the Vilano Boat Ramp and explores the Tolomato River and Robinson Creek on the way to the historic Fort Mose, where participants will learn about the history of the fort and can also tour the museum.

This is an intermediate-level kayak tour, which involves kayaking in the open water of the Tolomato River as well as getting out of the boats onto an elevated floating dock.

Admission: FREE, but registration is required. Admission to the museum at Fort Mose is $2.00, except for kids under six, who are free.

When: From 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Saturday December 9, 2022 and from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2022. 

Where: The tour begins at the Vilano Boat Ramp at 101 Vilano Causeway, St. Augustine, FL 32084. The tour ends at Fort Mose, which is located at 5 Fort Mose Trail, St Augustine, FL, 32084.
