The St. Augustine Amphitheatre presents two rock legends, John Fogerty and ZZ Top, in a live concert on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, as they come together for the "Blues and Bayous Tour."

American singer/songwriter and guitarist John Fogerty began his career with the popular rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). Fogerty's many awards include being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, a Grammy Award for his album Blue Moon Swamp in 1997, and being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005. His music career spans nearly 50 years.

After going solo in the 1980s, John Fogerty has continued writing and performing great music. He and his #1 hit, "Centerfield," were honored at the 2010 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies. This was the first time a musician or song has been immortalized as part of these ceremonies.

ZZ Top is not only the longest-running major rock band still with the original personnel, it has attained an iconic status that cannot be rivaled. The trio of Billy F. Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard first came together as a group in 1969, with their roots in American rock and blues. Their third album, 1973's Tres Hombres, included the hit, "La Grange," and brought the group to national attention.

Their iconography (the beards, the cars, the girls, and the magic keychain) made them a natural as a visual outlet for the early days of MTV. The list of their smash hits goes on and on, including "Gimme All Your Lovin'," "Sharp Dressed Man," and "Legs." They have sold millions of records, have been officially designated as Heroes of the State of Texas, and are a certified rock institution.
