The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
Holiday cheer and delightful mischief combine in “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at the Limelight Theatre.
The holiday play "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" will be performed at St. Augustine's Limelight Theatre from December 11, 2015 to January 3, 2016. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays for the duration of the show. The play will take place on the Matuza Main Stage.
Based on the book The Worst Kids in the World by Barbara Robinson, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" follows the six mischievous Herdman children. All six children are slightly delinquent. The Herdman children start attending Sunday school after hearing that the local church offers snacks. Soon after, they join the church's production of the Christmas story. They cause chaos, general mayhem, and hilarity as they relate the Christmas story. This event is suited for family audience.
The six Herdman children will be played by Will Gooden, Kyler Unsworth, Ella Escamilla, Zachary Davis, Caragh Ziegler, and Alexander Lawless. Other cast members will include Hayden Owen, Christopher Doddy, Megan Morton, Theresa Buchanan, and Ashley Herbert.
Special New Year's Eve Show and Party
On December 31, 2015, the Limelight Theatre will celebrate New Year's during a 30-minute intermission of the Best Christmas Pageant Ever! showing. All tickets are $50 and include pre-show hors d'oeuvres, champagne toast with the cast, and desserts. Admission: Tickets are $26 for regular admission, $24 for seniors (62+), $20 for students and military. Preview Night tickets for Dec. 10 are $14 per person. Tickets for Terrific Tuesday on Dec. 15 are $30 for two tickets.
When? Preview night is Wednesday, December 10, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.. The show runs from December 11, 2015 to January 3, 2016, with performances at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. Additionally, there will be a "Terrific Tuesday" show at 7:30 p.m. on December 15, 2015.
Where? The Limelight Theatre is located at 11 Old Mission Ave. in the Uptown San Marco district. Free parking is available on the street and in the parking lot behind the theater.
