St. Augustine's A Classic Theatre will present "For the Love of Shakespeare" on stage for three performances on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, February 17 - 19, 2017, at the Pioneer Barn at Fort Menendez in uptown St. Augustine. With theaters around the world celebrating 400 years of Shakespeare, this comedic three-act production is a tribute to the Bard and his legacy.

"For the Love of Shakespeare" will follow the antics of a company of actors as they perform a trio of one-acts --  "The Dark Lady of the Sonnets" by George Bernard Shaw, "SHAKESappear!" by Milton Polsky, and "Something Rotten in Denmark" by Ann Karine (aka Annie G.).

Deborah Dickey directs a talented group of six actors in the production: A Classic Theatre veterans Ashley Carter as Shakespeare and Jason, Jessica Ferris as The Dark Lady and Mary, Christine Fogarty as The Lady and Anne, Kelly McTaggart as The Beefeater and Bartholomew, and  two actors making their debut in this production -- Jenna Foley as Judith Shakespeare and Cordelia and Stephen Mitchell as Shakespeare and Hamlet's Ghost.

Admission: Tickets are $20 for adults, available online here. Student tickets will be available at the door for $10 (cash or check only).

When: 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, February 17 and 18, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2017.

Where: The Pioneer Barn at Fort Menendez is located at 259 San Marco Ave. in St. Augustine FL 32084.
