In celebration of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, the pirate crews of St. Augustine are hosting a full weekend of pirate-themed fun for families, kids, and adults from Friday through Sunday, September 18 - 20, 2015.

Activities will take place at various locations in downtown St. Augustine, including the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum, the Colonial Quarter, the City Marina, the Spanish Bakery, and on the high seas aboard the Black Raven Pirate Cruise. This will be a festival of all things pirate, with plenty of food and drink, music and entertainment, and activities for the whole family -- a pirate treasure hunt, miniature golf with pirates, spectacular battles aboard two pirate ships, and a pirate poker pub crawl.

    Friday, September 18

The weekend of piracy will begin with a dinner buffet at 7:00 p.m. at the Colonial Quarter. Along with ample food and drink, there will be live music from the Beach Bum Pirate (Scott Ramsey), a pirate fashion show, rum tastings, and dancing and aerial performance by The Fly By Pirates. Tickets are $30.00 per person.

    Saturday, September 19

From 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a variety of activities for all ages will be hosted at the Pirate & Treasure Museum. There will be hands-on activities and music in the museum courtyard all day, and a treasure hunt for Pirates In Training (PITs) throughout the historic district that begins and ends at the Pirate Museum. This event is free for everyone.

At 2:15 p.m., the Treasure Hunt Cruise Adventure takes off from the City Marina. Two pirate ships, the Black Raven and the Queen Anne's Revenge, will set sail to do battle, complete with ship-to-ship sword fighting, over Blackbeard's stolen treasure. From 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., the Spanish Bakery will provide the perfect setting as well as the meal for a bountiful pirates dinner. Buccaneers of all ages are welcome, but scallywags are warned to "be on ye best behavior." There will be a beer and rum bar set up. Cost is $15.00 per person (excluding alcohol), and all proceeds go to the St. Francis House, courtesy of the three host pirate crews.

From 7:00 - 10:00 p.m., the poker pub crawl will begin at the Spanish Bakery and take participants to five locations, including the Taberna at the Colonial Quarter. Cards can be purchased at each location, and the best poker hand at the end of the night receives 25% of the pot, with 15% for second place and 10% for third place. $10.00 per card.

    Sunday, September 20

What kind of pirate would miss his Sunday morning mini golf game? From 11:00 .m. to 1:00 p.m., the pirates will be ready to join in a round of miniature golf with the little (and big) buccaneers. Bayfront MiniGolf hosts this event. The price is $5.99 per round for adults and $3.99 per child (ages 6 - 11), with a special price of only $1.00 for anyone who is riding the Ripley's Red Train Tours that day.
