Peace in the Park

Local nonprofit Pie in the Sky Community Alliance will host their 10th annual Peace in the Park event to honor the International Day of Peace on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Free and open to the public, this event is moving to St. Augustine to celebrate its 10th anniversary. It will be held at Eddie Vickers Park from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

There will be plenty of activities for the whole family, including live music by The Peaceniks, yoga for kids, origami activities, peace poles, and, of course, the annual Human Peace Sign. Guests can begin to line up for the Human Peace Sign at 11:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring jars of peanut butter, which will be used to form a Pyramid of Peace that will later be distributed to seniors in need.

Pie in the Sky has been helping thousands of people throughout St. Johns County over the last ten years. Based in Hastings, FL, the organization delivers fresh produce to low-income senior citizens throughout the community.
