Internationally renowned concert pianists known as Duo Beaux Arts have returned for a Romanza Festivale performance on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

The husband and wife duo have performed in Paris, Barcelona, Tallin,, Helsinki, Bern and Amsterdam since forming in 2008.

Dr. Catherine Lan was born in Taiwan, and grew up in Canada. She graduated from the University of British Columbia, and earned her Master of Music at Indiana University. She went on to earn a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Miami. She is a faculty member at Broward College and an avid chamber musician, and records for Centaur Records. 

Tao Lin is a Chinese American concert pianist and Steinway artist. He has performed across Asia, North America and Europe. He is a frequent pianist and lecturer at the Music Festival of the Hamptons and the Mainly Mozart Festival. He is currently a visiting professor at Shanghai Normal University and is on the faculty at Bowdoin International Music Festival. He records for Entaur Records, Naxos, and Artek labels.

Duo Beaux Arts are founders of the Beaux Art Chamber Music Series in Naples, Florida.

For the Romanza Festivale Concert on May 8, they will each play as single artists and as a duo, performing works by Schubert, Beethoven, and Medelssohn.

When: 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Where: The St. Augustine Waterworks Building. While the building fronts on San Marco, the entrance is from 1960 N. Ponce de Leon Boulevard, and they use the back lot at the Main Branch of the Library for parking. 

This event is part of the Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts, an annual festival consisting of two weeks of historical, cultural and creative events celebrating all things St. Augustine. From April 28 - May 14, 2023, the nation's oldest city will be jam-packed with music and dance concerts, living history events and historical tours, live theater and art exhibits.
