River City Rhythm Kings Concert

Jazz ensemble River City Rhythm Kings will bring a new twist to 1920s to 1940s-style small group jazz in their St. Augustine concert May 7, 2021.

Comprised of six "swinging" jazz musicians, the River City Rhythm Kings will offer a free concert Friday, May 7, 2021, at Markland House, 102 King St. 

The band features Mark Dickman on low brass; Ken Calhoun on banjo/rhythm guitar; Bill Prince on brass and reeds; David Steinmeyer on jazz trombone; Eric Mason on percussion and Roy Mccance on woodwinds.

Led by award-winning trombonist, tubist and jazz education Marc Dickman, the band specializes in New Orleans and Chicago style jazz.

When: 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021

Where: Markland House is located at 102 King St. in downtown St. Augustine.

This event is part of the Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts, an annual festival consisting of two weeks of historical, cultural and creative events celebrating all things St. Augustine. From May 1 to 15, 2021, the nation's oldest city will be jam-packed with music and dance concerts, living history events and historical tours, live theater, art exhibits and much more.
