5K run to raise funds for nursing school scholarships at Pedro Menendez High School and to end domestic violence.

Please Note: This event is from 2018

On Saturday, March 18, 2017, Pedro Menendez High School is holding the Spring-4-A-Cause 5K: A Run For ReAnna, starting at the Riverview Club in St. Augustine Shores.

ReAnna Greene grew up in St. Augustine and was a Pedro Menendez graduate in 2007. She obtained her BS in Nursing from University of Central Florida in 2011, after which she moved to Baltimore and enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Maryland. During this time she worked at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and served as a teaching assistant in the UMD School of Nursing. ReAnna's life was cut tragically short in April 2015 as a result of domestic violence.

The run will honor ReAnna's memory and her passion for nursing. The proceeds will go toward establishing a scholarship at Pedro Menendez High School for athletes who want to pursue nursing as a career, and support efforts to speak out against domestic violence while helping those who are in a similar situation.

Race packets may be picked up on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the St. Augustine Shores Golf Course, located at  707 Shores Blvd. in St. Augustine, Florida. Packets may also be picked up starting at 7 a.m. on the morning of the race.

Admission: Early registration through March 1 is $25 and then $30 through March 16. Registration on the day of the race is $35.

When: Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 8:00 a.m.
