From Italy to the First Coast
Al’s Pizza began as a dream that traveled across the Atlantic. After arriving in the United States from Italy in 1978, founder Al spent a decade honing his skills in pizzerias throughout New York and New Jersey. In the late 1980s, he brought those classic Italian-American flavors to Florida, opening his own restaurant in Jacksonville. A few years later, an old Gate gas station in Ponte Vedra Beach became the setting for his next pizzeria.
