Our 4th year in St Augustine. This boulangerie /Patisserie is the best beside my parents Patisserie .That being said I am back in France each time I walk in .Our family and friends always rave about the baguettes and croissants aux amandes when they visit us . Kim is so nice and so patient with customers when they do not know what they want .Good help is hard to find .Until next year aurevoir and Kim thanks for having my back ( leaving my credit card in the reader) Marie-France Savoldi from IN

When you picture a french bistro, quaint, sophisticated and delectable...this is it. From pastries to crepes this little patisserie out does the rest. You must stop in for a tart, quiche, pastry or the spectacular crepes. Each is hand crafted to perfection and with true artistry. Bon Appetit!

The food is just average especially for the prices. Portions are on the smaller side. The salad that came with the salad definitely not the freshest. Ordered 6 macarons (1.90) each. They were placed in a box that was too small for the amount. The macarons got crushed. We told the chef when he brought out our food. He muttered something which we could not understand and never returned. We ordered ice water and we were never served anything to drink. None of the tables were cleaned. We were forced to sit at one that was unclean. The waitress cleaned everything around us except for our table. We had to move to a clean table. We wanted to order the combo, but they were out of the baked goods that come with the combo and charged a two dollar up charge for the deserts that they did have. After requesting that they bring water half way through the meal, they brought room temperature water and stated that they do not provide ice since ice is not available in France. That being said, it is very humid in Saint Augustine and ice would have been appreciated authentic or not.

While it's true tables are not always cleaned immediately, there is a very good reason. Les Petits Pleasures is ALWAYS busy because they do serve AUTHENTIC French pastries, crepes, etc. During our visit there was ALWAYS someone in line waiting to order. The only reason someone would complain that this bistro is over priced and has poor service is due to their being totally unsophisticated and inexperienced when it comes to travel. Perhaps a simple, "Would you please wipe our table?" would have been sufficient to get the task accomplished. As for the portions, they are more than adequate for people who have no need to overindulge in food. Americans eat far too much as it is. There were three people in our party and each ordered something different. All of us were completely satisfied with our meals and the portions. None of us left any food on our plates. We left the restaurant content and not the least bit bloated. In fact, because we had no room after our sandwiches, etc., we had to take our complimentary pastries with us to enjoy later in the day. Locals and tourists alike rave about Les Petits Pleasures. Don't let one sour apple review spoil the bunch. If you can't get to France, but you can get to St. Augustine, take time to visit Les Petits Pleasures. Perhaps your timing will be good and you won't have a long wait in line; but do go with the right attitude and knowledge that you may have a bit of a wait. It will be worth it.

I walked into this little gem this morning and was welcomed with smiling faces, the most amazing aroma of herbs de provence, and a really sweet ambiance. The Baker was singing some beautiful french song whizzing about the kitchen, almost dancing...it was like something out of a movie. The almond croissants I got (which the baker brought out himself) were still warm from the oven and were the best thing I've ever eaten...no comparison. Perfectly crisp buttery goodness on the outside, super light and airy on the inside. The almond filling was also divine. It all just melts in your mouth in culinary perfection. I loved everything about this place....everything!
