The Romanza Festival presents a Chamber Music Series concert with John Daugherty and pianist Keith Teepen on Monday, May 4, 2026, at noon, at Grace United Methodist Church.
This Concert
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, John Daugherty is now a professor at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. Daugherty has a busy performance schedule, singing a wide array of genres and styles. His recent stage performances include Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Joseph de Rocher in Heggie’s Dead Man Walking, The King in Davies’ Eight Songs for a Mad King, and Mercutio in Roméo et Juliette.
Collaborative pianist Keith Teepen has performed in North America and Europe. He has collaborated with classical and musical theatre artists, including opera tenor Bryan Hymel, baritone Christopher Job, Broadway stars Laura Osnes and Donna Vivino, and trombonist Scott Hartman. Teepen has worked extensively in musical theater and has directed several productions. He is on the faculty at Flagler College.
This Romanza performance includes classical art songs and musical theater in an intimate chamber performance.
