Prior to the major shifts regarding the elimination of segregation in America, The Tams, (named after Tam o' Shanter hats they wore on stage), a Southern R&B group from Atlanta, Georgia, came together in spite of the odds against them. Its original members were Charles and Joseph Pope, Robert Lee Smith, Horace Key, and Floyd Ashton. In 1962, "Untie Me" reached #12 on the R&B charts followed by "What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am," which was #6 on the Billboard pop charts.

Electric Avenue

Electric Avenue is a 1980's tribute band dedicated to the artists who stepped outside of the music-genre-box.

A 1980's edgy tribute band, Electric Avenue, performs music from the 80's  bands that blurred the lines in music during a time when stepping in and out of the box was more the norm than it even is today. That said, it is what makes this 2022 tribute band stand out from the rest. Choosing the "new wave" groups, Electric Avenue plays hits from Depeche Mode and Devo, exploring what the bands set out to do, and in some cases, taking it a step further.

An 8-musician band, Yacht Rock Schooner, brings the 1970's and 80's back to life in full force. With an impeccable resemblance, instrumentally, to every 80's tune, band members trade off turns in the vocal department, flawlessly reaching all highs and lows of a pitch as their talent shines.
