The historic Ximenez-Fatio House Museum offers a spectacularly spooky candlelight tour, every Friday and Saturday, from September 27, through October 26, 2024, at 6:30, and 7:30 p.m.

During the Mourning and Mortality Candlelight Tour, visitors will be guided through the 223-year-old house and museum as they learn how residents practiced mourning rituals in St. Augustine in the 1800s. The tour will be lit only by electric candles to create the ambiance of a home in mourning 200 years ago.

McLeod, author, professor, podcaster, and frequent guest, presents and leads a discussion on the topic From these Roots We Thrive: A Multi-Generational Charge to Preserve African American History.  She will present at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022, and on Saturday, October 8, at 11:00 a.m. 

Dr. McLeod's speciality is the history of the Black Press, and she has worked to show how sharing stories related to the African American experience can improve race relations.

The Accord Civil Rights Museum, at 79 Bridge Street, will open to the public on select Fridays and Saturdays through February of 2023. 

This building was originally the office of a dental surgeon Dr. Rudulph N. Gordon.  After his death the building was purchased by Dr. Robert B. Hayling, a dentist and a leader of the civil rights movement in St. Augustine. Dr. Hayling held meetings in his office with other civil rights leaders, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Noted historian and author, David Nolan, with the Accord Freedom Trail Organization, conducts Freedom Trail Trolley Tours from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays, February 1, 15, and 22, 2025.

These public tours start at the Willie Galimore Center at 399 S. Riberia Street, where you may park at no cost if you are taking the tour. David Nolan will point out places of historical significance in the fight for freedom in this country, including homes where Martin Luther King, Jr. sheltered during his time in St. Augustine.

Visitors can learn about local produce and explore an organic farm and feed mill.

The St. Johns Agricultural Center is hosting a tour that teaches visitors about local produce on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Visitors will depart from the St. Augustine Cultural Center and board a bus that travels through Molasses Junction to Elkton.

Visitors will learn about the process of growing fresh fruits and vegetables. Seasoned farmers will also be available to answer questions during the tour. The cost for a general admission ticket is $35.00.
