Dedicated to Creature from the Black Lagoon, a Universal Studios' 1954 horror film classic about a misunderstood creature in the Amazonian jungle, Kilted Creature emerged and can be found lurking in the North Carolina mountains. Referred to as KC — the musician wearing his "creature costume," — he is the focal point of the two-man band, and when the music begins — it becomes more.

Jackie Straw & The Racket band.

Jackie Straw & the Racket

Jackie Straw and her band bring the sounds of psychedelic country to the table.

As her soft tone mingles with a hallucinogenic country harmony, as hints of the Grateful Dead's distinct influence can be heard in the instrumental shadows, Jackie & the Racket play psychedelic tunes that stray from the traditional country road. Their unique blend is a reminder that the beauty of music is in the flexibility to combine sounds in a way that continuously reinvents a musician's wheel.
