My Husband and I were in town to visit his college roomie, we booked our hotel in St. Augustine . We decided to tour the district and ended up looking thru a window at a man name Harry boogying down and the man on the keyboard was amazing, so we all decided to go in...It was outstanding. Charlie Brown blew us away we kept putting money in the tip jar, he had his own style singing old songs, We met the owner Eric and found out my husband played against him in college football,(small world) we were told that we have the VIP section at Old time wine cellar, this place was amazing. check it out!

Where do I start? When my family of 9 and I sat down at a table we noticed the charm and thought this would be a nice experience. Were we sorely mistaken. We were greeted by the owner who seemed very nice. He took our orders but disappeared. He also is the cook I assume. We ordered several appetizers which looked like they were prepackaged items from the supermarket. The entrees came out which one was incorrect. The owner/cook insisted that if he wrote it down he must be right. Doesn't matter, the food was so bland that you couldn't tell what you were eating anyways. I have given this establishment one star that belongs solely to Charlie Brown, the futuristic blue musician who plays oldies on a synthesizer. Rock on Charlie!

We spent the day in lovely St. Augustine and had the distinct pleasure of stopping in at the Old Town Wine Cellar. This place is an absolute jem with a very welcoming rustic atmosphere. Our friends and we were greeted by Eric the owner who treated us like royalty. The service and attention were spectacular and the wine was first class. We will be back many times. Charlie Brown was very entertaining with some great music.

My girlfriend and I spent a day strolling though St. Augustine. We heard Charie Brown singing and poked our head and ended up spending several hours enjoying the afternoon. We had such a good time! The atmosphere was just perfect and the drinks hit the spot. If you are in St. Augustine this is a must stop to relax Word of warning - you will not want to leave!

This is the only restaurant we've found that actually makes you feel like family. Where most other restaurants in the area just want to serve you and get you out as quickly as possible. We were very amazed at the selection of wine they carried not your usual house wine but something for everyone to enjoy. We have had the pleasure to dine at the Wine Cellar and were very pleased with the menu and food selection. The meal was awesome and the amount of food that was served was more than I ever expected a large salad all the bread you can eat and a large plate of lasagne, spaghetti and meatballs. The owners are really down to earth and we had a very gratifiying experience.

When we first stepped inside, we were intrigued by the cozy atmosphere and the blues musician performing at an electronic keyboard. We sat down at a table where we didn't even notice the lack of place mats and the silver ware wrapped in paper napkins. The lasagna came highly recommended by our waiter so I ordered it and my wife ordered a meatball sandwich. We wanted a glass of Zinfandel with our meal but the waiter thought we meant white Zin. When we explained that we wanted red Zin.' He did not seem to know there was such a thing. No big deal, we ordered Pinot Noir instead. Our salad arrived looking like one I remembered from the school cafeteria in elementary. I think the bowls were the same little woven plastic things I remember. It was iceberg lettuce and not much more. I would have liked to shake some salt and pepper on it but there were no shakers at the table and no one paying attention. IT GETS MUCH WORSE! The meatball sandwich came on a tiny round hamburger bun that was rather flat. My wife was disappointed. My lasagna tasted like something you would find in the frozen dinner area at any supermarket. Though very unimpressed, we were hungry and the food was tolerable so we ate it and I had a second glass of wine. WHEN THE BILL CAME WE WERE SHOCKED! It seemed really high for the meal and service we had just experienced. Looking closer we noticed charges for four glassed of wine at $9 each. When we brought it to the waiters attention, he seemed very annoyed and returned with a wine list (which we had not seen) and pointed out that 'Pinot Noir was actually $10 glass so we got a deal'. We reiterated that we only had three glasses, not four and expressed that it was only $9 a bottle wine anyway. A little catty I will admit, but he was pushing us. He huffed and adjusted the ticket. He asked, 'Well, but did you enjoy your meal?' I would probably have left it alone but he asked and I expressed my critique. He argued 'Well, you ate it all!' NOW THINGS ARE GETTING UNCOMFORTABLE. Speaking as he stormed off, he said 'Tell ya what. I'm gonna make you a deal.' He returned with a bottle of the same wine we drank and offered us the choice of paying the full ticket and receiving the full bottle of wine or having him adjust the ticket to reflect the three glassed (not four) that we drank. WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON HERE??? I said 'No, I do not want your bottle of wine, please adjust the ticket and we will leave. He said, 'Fine!' and adjusted it. We left with a very bad taste in our mouth for this establishment.

We stopped by and (the seven of us!) had a very delicious lunch. The crab cakes (appetizer or sandwiches) as well as the chicken salad sandwiches were absolutely fabulous! And the burgers were gone in the blink of an eye. The owners, Eric and Carey, were extremely friendly, helpful and hospitable. Loved hearing all the history! We will definitely come back! Thanks for a great afternoon!
