The Keb Mo Concert for February 17 has moved to the Amphitheatre, due to the predicted bad weather. Original tickets will be honored – no new ticket is necessary. If you cannot attend, refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre has joined with Fort Mose Historic State Park to present a series of five award-winning jazz and blues artists to appear over two weeks in honor of Fort Mose's historic and cultural significance. On Saturday, February 17, at 7:00 p.m., Keb' Mo' will perform at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. This concert was moved from Fort Mose due to the weather.

From California and known as Kevin Moore, he played with Papa John Creach of Jefferson Airplane on his first major gig when he was 21. For more than 20 years, he worked mostly behind the scenes as a guitarist, songwriter, and arranger. His second album, the self-titled Keb' Mo' introduced his take on classic roots and blues, and in 1996, he released the album Just Like You and won the GRAMMY Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. He's collaborated with Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, and others.

The site of the Fort Mose Historic State Park is America's first legally-sanction settlement of free Africans and was a safe destination for escaped slaves during the early years of the Underground Railroad. This series is part of the County's Black History Month celebration, and proceeds from these concerts will help fund the construction of a representation of the original Fort Mose, which was destroyed in 1740 during the Battle of Bloody Mose.

The Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series is jointly produced by the Fort Mose Historical Society, the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, the St. Johns County Tourist Development Council, the St. Johns Cultural Council, and Flying Saucer Presents.
