The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center hosts Jazz at the Excelsior with trumpeter Longineau Parsons, II, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center was formerly the historic Excelsior High School, the first public high school for African-Americans in St. Augustine. Lincolnville Jazz at the Excelsior features talented artists performing in the renovated second-floor gathering space at 102 M.L.K., Jr. Avenue.  (There is an elevator.)

The August Program

A classically trained trumpeter, Longineu Warren Parsons II, is adept at the flute, keyboards, and vocals. Parsons is an Associate Professor of Music at Florida A& M University. He's played for many revered musicians and band leaders, including Doc Severinsen, Herbie Mann, Sun Ra, and Branford Marsalis.

Admission: General admission tickets are $45.00 (plus fees). You can purchase tickets online when they become available.
