The view from the second floor terrace is the best. It is over-looking the water and the marina. On a nice cool, sunny day, it is absolutely the best place to enjoy a drink or a snack. A1A Ale Works is not so much a brewery, but more of a good sized restaurant, that also happens to make a few beers. A comparison to Ancient City Brewery or BOG Brewery would really not be fair. The food at A1A is OK, but maybe not great. Similar in price and quality with most sports type bars in the area. I love craft beer and have visited many breweries over many states in the US. It really is not a brewery to me, doesn't look like one, doesn't smell like one and the beer is just OK. Not memorable. But it does serve food, if that is what you are looking for. So, great, great location. Staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are competitive. Food is average and the beer is just not great. An average kinda warm "B" rating. Probably would go back, if BOG is not open.

I cannot remember her name, but I know quality work service when I see it. The Upstair Barmaid blew my mind with her low key attendance to customers at the bar; waiters in the restaurant, all with an attentive multi-task service. If I owned a bar, I would seek her out and hire her? Jack and Jann

This place was recommended all over town and we were not disappoint. They had fresh seafood and all dishes were made from scratch. Great specials and the best view of the water.

My wife and I eat here, like clock-work, every 2 months. We love the mixed lettuce salad with fresh seared tuna on top. And there's nothing better to go along with that than my favorite local brew - 'A Strange Stout'. It's a dark complex beer with nutty undertones. Enjoy the atmosphere of being on the waterfront while sipping on some of St. Augustine's finest brews. Cheers!
