food was great, drinks were flowing, and waitress from my home town from brooklyn ny .. home run place,, loved it,,

We were in the mood for Italian, but will have to say it was just all right. We ordered the eggplant and we both said we have had much better. Calamari was tough.

My wife and I have been twice in 2014 and had the best homemade pasta dishes I have ever tasted and I have been to Italy. The starters were also great. Desert looked fabulous but we were to full to partake. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. You gotta eat here.

every year we visit st ausgustine and do to amici's. last year should have been a warning. the bread was good but the food was bad. we figured we would give them a second chance to redeem themselves...big mistake...this year was even worse. first of all, they had some loud kareoke going on with 70's and 80's music blaring and people with terrible voices screeching the songs. second-the bread was hard, they tried the roasted garlic with olive oil instead of their herbs in olive oil. bad idea. third- the salad was old and browning, fourth-my daughters veal parmasan was burnt and the sauce tasted like it was from a can of tomato paste, fifth-my husbands chicken parmasan was crusty around the edges and cold in the middle and covered with the same tomato paste. sixth-my shrimp scampi was overcooked and rubbery-which i only ate 2 of. the pasta sauce tasted aweful. the server asked it i liked it, i told him no and when we complained about my shrimp scampi and asked if i can have at least a discount or remove it from the ticket. the manager said no. i had to pay the full 18.00 for 2 pieces of shrimp. we will never go back to that aweful place. i guess next year, we will have to find a different italian restaurant that has authentic italian food that doesnt tast like it came from a can or the frozen food aisle of the grocery.

Though the staff tried to accomadate when asked. Service overall was not great. We waited at the door to be seated for quite some time. Got to be uncomfortable as we had several people spot us and ignore us....we were the only two people waiting. Our food was brought to us barely warm and heated in the microwave after I wandered through the place to find someone to take it back. Sorry have never written a restaurant review before...but this was really disappointing.Everyone has a bad day but even the food wasn't great...other than salad plate chilled..trying to find a positive here. The atmosphere was pretty.

Toni and Frankie have been our wait staff (GFWC St Augustine, Inc.) for our monthly monday luncheon meetings. They are fantastic, curteous, efficient, pleasant and detail oriented. We are very pleased to have such experienced servers and the food is delicious always!! Thank you Amice!!
