I've been coming to restaurants in St. Augustine for years, I just love the town. I'm so excited I found a place like Hurricane Pattys. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the blackened mahi. The food was to die for. The manager Mike came by the table and checked on us, which truly made us feel welcomed in such a secluded locals place. My husband and I enjoy seafood and this is the best we've ever had. Mike also mentioned that they will be starting all you can eat lobster on Mondays and doing a wine down Wednesdays southern style, how exciting!!!!!! If you're looking for a hidden gem in st Augustine this is it.

This place is a joke! We ate there on a Saturday afternoon. It took forever for a waitress to come to the table. Had to go up to the counter to get a tea refill. After 30 minutes the onion ring appetizer was not edible, no onions, just burnt breading. Sent that back. Everything was way overcooked. Should not take 40 minutes for seafood. They were not busy, more people at the bar than in the dining room. Told waitress about everything being overcooked and her response was 'yes, the cook does to overcook at times.' AND this wonderful lunch cost $28 before the tip. We definitely will not go back.

While the atmosphere is 'rustic' it is family friendly with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors and had a great view of the marina. Lots of locals there but that didn't effect the courtesy of our service which it sometimes can. The strength is the food. Simply put the portions were generous and everything was good - and just as described on the menu. We were a party of six so we got quite a cross-section and everything enjoyed their meal. Would go back anytime.

I was in H.P. for Happy hour on Friday night June 22nd, my girlfriend and I went to the bar to order a pitcher of beer, we were charged $5.50 the next pitcher from a different bartender was only $5.00. I then went to the same bartender and ordered a rum runner, it was not the same as what I had in the past. Usually the rum runners are very good. Then my friend ordered a Meyers rum and O.J. again it was not Meyers, it tasted more like a cocoa liquor. We both went to the same bartender Shawn and complained he got very rude with us and said he emptied the bottle in the drink he made for us but would make another with a new bottle. He also proceeded to point his finger at my friend and say 'I'll remember you!!!' I have always had pretty good service from the bartenders, I haven't been in there for awhile, it's almost like if your not a regular there they think they can get over on you. Needless to say I felt very ripped off !!! I didn't complain at all about the rum runner, but my friend said two wrong drinks was unacceptable. It will be a cold in hell before I go back...
