I have lived in the area for many years, passing by daily on my way to work and couldn't wait to stop in. Big mistake… we asked to sit by the water (it was sunset after all) not sure why that pissed off the owner but it did. After about 30 minutes I had to go inside and order a cold beer, and man it was hot outside. We finished the pitcher of beer and continued to wait for someone to take our order for food. After another 45 minutes we went back inside where the owner was just sitting chatting with some folks. She didn't even TRY to be courteous, in fact just the opposite, she was downright rude. We finally just left without ever getting our food. No worries tho, we are fortunate enough to live in an area with plenty of nice places to eat where our patronage is not only accepted but welcomed. I work in the public and will certainly be sharing my experience with others.

My wife and I are considering moving to the area and wanted to enjoy some local flavor so we stopped by the Matanzas Innlet. What a terrific experience! Natasha, our waitress was very warm and friendly and took great care of us. The food was great, the music really fit the mood, and the scenery is not to be believed. All the folks we saw outside were having a great time...some even dancing to the music. We talk about our experience all the time with our firends. If/when we move to the area this will be one of our go to spots! We highly recommend it!

First visit, taken by friends who had eaten there before. Waitress was rude and aggressive to my wife when she nicely asked when we were to be served one hour after ordering. To demonstrate my displeasure I deliberately under tipped. We took a brief walk on the beach, and on return were accosted by the owner who was nasty, screaming, cursing and tell us to get the f... off her property because I had under tipped the employee. It is easy to see the attitude of entitlement and lack of manners starts at the top. Food too is below average, hygiene a concern.

The only reason to go here is for the view. The service, food and cleanliness needs much improvement. Was here once in 2011 then tried it again in 2012. Still the same. Will not be going back.

My family and I had lunch here and weren't impressed with either the food or the high prices. There are several other places within a few miles, they are worth the extra drive.
