Nostalgic, operatic, and even cinematic: all words that describe states of being for Los Angeles-based band, Lord Huron. A four piece, the band spends much of the year on a tour circuit through the UK, US, and Canada. However, Lord Huron has undergone many transformations on their musical journey.

In Akron, Ohio, Patrick Carney played guitars and drums, and kept a drum set and a four-track recording system in his basement. His goal was to entice drummers to come and jam, so he could play the guitar. Dan Auerbach spent most of his free time listening to a wide variety of guitar players, practicing their licks and finding his own sound. Their older brothers were friends an suggested that Pat and Dan get together to play, so they did.

From the dawn of the rhythmic style band Mumford & Sons in 2007, when the folk scene was the primary influence, the sound they produced morphed with bluegrass to grab England’s attention.
